Here are a few photos of life in Manila, to give you a glimpse. I'm planning to take some video footage today with my friend, Meg, so I'll be sure to post more when I have it!! You might not know what this is, but it's the "Ice Village" at one of the shopping centers here. Here in the Philippines, we start celebrating Christmas when the "ber" months start (SeptemBER). Also in this picture is my friend Kelli, who teaches Middle School English.
This is the sunset over the city of Manila, from the Faith Academy soccer field.
It's appropriate that right next to my Philippines mug is my little gecko friend. They are literally everywhere around the Phils, so this is not unusual at all. I did give him quite a fright when I started washing the dishes...
Also, as I was typing this, a bird flew into my window. That is a little odd, even for the Philippines!
