Driving Me Crazy...

Well, if you were wondering about driving in the Philippines, here is a very small, short glimpse into what it can be like.  I have been driving here, and it's really not so bad once you are a part of the chaos.  You kind of just "go with the flow."

The biggest challenge for me is the pedestrians!  The problem is that none of them drive, so they don't know how they should be acting to NOT get hit by a car.  It is quite worrisome...
A few days after we filmed this, my car got a flat tire!  Luckily, these kinds of things are so common here that people are super willing to help out during a tight time.  Our friend Wendy had just arrived at school, but she came back home to get us :)  Update:  my flat tire was fixed.  It was awesome.  I texted a good mechanic around here, he came and got my car key, fixed my tire (and the spare, which had no air) and brought my car back to me.  I didn't have to do anything but pay him.  Good deal!  Most of the time, things in the Philippines are way harder than they would be in the States, but it makes it easier when people like that are around to help!
